Head of Social Media

The Head of Social Media is responsible for overseeing the creation, management, reporting and performance of the Company’s Social Media Strategy. A strong commercial mindset will be needed to maximize revenues generated from these channels to deliver my clients social media remits.


Overseeing social media activities throughout the company, directing social media roles through various departments and managing the external social media agency.
Building the brand through social media, growing awareness and engagement, and driving revenues delivered in these channels – through leveraging existing Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts (and expansion into new channels), and delivering Social Content, Social Servicing and Social Promotions.
Promoting a social framework throughout the company – and ensuring coordination and collaboration between departments on social media initiatives. Other responsibilities include:
Maintain and update the social media strategy; building the program roadmap, defining social projects, and coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture.
Lead all social media stakeholders, including the social media working group and agency resources, to deliver on the projects and initiatives as laid out in the roadmap to drive the Social KPIs and growth – planning social media campaigns to drive customer awareness, acquisition and revenue generation.
Manage appointed social media agency to deliver on Social projects and initiatives, driving yearly social KPIs, and ascertain requirements for future support and growth in this area.
Identify and utilize

appropriate analytics tools to measure social effectiveness and make recommended adjustments.

What my client wants from you

To be able to build lasting client relationships and deliver all social media projects on time and to brief. You will also drive innovation, develop our service and work to expand and grow the team.
Be able to demonstrate excellent account and project management skills, including ruthless organisation of both yourself and your team.
Responsible for creating client facing documents including reports, proposals and presentations.
You will have a commercial view and be focused on delivering ROI for clients, with regular reports that reflect these commercial goals and successes. You will have experience in tracking project budgets and be able to recognise project successes and failures.
Your team will work across a variety of channels including: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. You will guide decisions over whether to use new and emerging channels such as: Pinterest and Instagram, as well as other specialist niche platforms including: blogs, forums and industry websites.
You will stay abreast of the latest social media trends and techniques, providing social media insight to the team and clients
