 partner across all relevant media channels and products. It offers a
 variety of media content in fun and sports and holds business opportunities in fields of TV, Print and Digital Media with 
fresh and innovative media content. To strengthen their team we are looking for an experienced

 

 

GENERAL MANAGER WEB TV
(m/f)

 

 

Purpose of the job:

  • Define positioning and content roadmap for the digital TV channel (web, mobile, smart TV)
  • Generate new content & format ideas (from audience, data analytics, market screening) and 
commission internal or external production
  • Scan the market for new (web-) formats for acquisition
  • Develop new business models and measure commercial success based on revenue and reached 
consumers

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the product positioning and content strategy of the digital TV channel (for web, mobile, connected devices such as smart TV)
  • Define content strategy, identifying content needs, new formats or licenses. (in close interaction with internal functions (content, design, research, communications), external distribution partners as well as other countries
  • Develop business models and identify commercial partners securing a maximum distribution and/or revenue streams together with Sales/Business development
  • Align with own channel business (web, TV productions etc.) on production and distribution/placement of content.
  • Develop deal tactics, lead negotiations and close the deals with potential partners
  • Evaluate & configure programming mix based on audience feedback and analytics and internal/external sources.
  • Coordinate full value chain: product development, content development, marketing and distribution/business development
  • Close interaction with product management for UI/design

 

Candidate profile:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in web TV, online and/or mobile sector (production, programming, 
content distribution) with international companies
  • A master degree or equivalent (preferable in economics, business or media)
  • Experience in delivering large and complex new media projects and programmes
  • Strong and diverse client and user experience
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • A passion for TV, new media and technology and profound knowledge of the digital media industry 
(production, programming, content distribution)
  • The mindset to be an ambassador for the brand and its media products
  • Ability to work in a matrix, to troubleshoot and provide feedback, guidance and solutions for 
product development plans
  • Great sales expertise, from developing client relationships, through developing proposals and 
closing deals
  • The understanding to develop deals that are right for now and future renewals
  • Project management mindset – plans, prepares, identifies risks, works with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage real and virtual teams to deliver agreed objectives
  • Great communication skills – able to leverage all info available to build a complex product and 
has great presentation skills – is convincing and compelling
